In a further investment in Filey, business owner John Dalby is creating a sumptuous boutique hotel, bar and restaurant next to his gold awarded All Seasons Guest House in the centre of the pretty coastal town.

In a £250,000 refurbishment, John plans to transform neighbouring Seafields guesthouse into the All Seasons Boutique Hotel. Both Victorian three-storey buildings, which boast the best of the era’s architecture, were once combined under one roof as one of Filey’s largest hotels.

As history comes full circle, the new boutique hotel will welcome guests to 10 beautifully furnished bedrooms with four luxury suites. A new restaurant, hosted by a Michelin-star chef, will seat up to 30 guests staying at both of the businesses.

Paul said: “The boutique hotel will offer only the very best, with super king size beds covered with 800 count Egyptian cotton sheets and smart flat screen TVs in the bedrooms, plus freestanding baths in the bathrooms for a relaxing luxury experience.

“From the warm welcome to the opulent décor, All Seasons Boutique Hotel will offer discerning guests a personal experience that so few hotels get right these days. There will be a lovely lounge bar, afternoon tea and picnics as well as fine dining – and every one of our guests will leave feeling happy, relaxed, rejuvenated and well fed! Our delicious breakfasts and dinners are already amongst the best in the north of England.”

He predicted: “I think we are going to see a renaissance in holidaying within the UK. Brexit and covid have led to people making different choices on where they want to holiday. I know the weather is always a challenge but as Billy Connolly once said, you can always put your coat on – and you can bring your dog with you as well.

“How many people have had their holidays abroad cut short this year or had to jump through hoops to get there and back? How can you book next year’s holiday abroad with any certainty, when countries are constantly changing the rules?
