1.5m in monoxide risk

TENS of thousands of Yorkshire householders whose lives are at risk from an odourless and colourless gas are being urged to get an audible alarm for their home.

Research has revealed that 1.5 million people in this region are at risk from carbon monoxide poisoning because they are not protected by an alarm.

At least 50 people died last year after being poisoned and another 4,000 were treated in hospital. Some suffered brain damage.
