The Abbey habit
Families visiting Fountains Abbey over the school holidays can dress in monks' robes and learn about cloistered daily life.
The It's A Monk's Life events take place until August 26, every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 2pm. The special afternoons involving a family tour of the Abbey are suitable for children aged seven and over. The cost is 1.50 plus normal admission prices. Those interested should meet at the Visitor Centre on event days.
