Alert as woman seen being forced into car
Detectives in York are urging a woman to come forward after she was seen being forced into the back of a car in the early hours of Saturday.
The alarm was raised after she was witnessed being assaulted and verbally abused by a man at Clifton Moor, before being pushed into the back of a maroon Mercedes outside B&Q at around 2.36am.
The victim is described as white, aged in her late 30s, with a slim build and bleached blonde hair.
She was wearing a black dress.
Det Insp Ian Dyer, of York CID, said: “We need to identify the woman in question. “I would appeal directly to her to come forward and let us know she is safe”
