Archbishop holds service at Castle Howard

The Archbishop of York, John Sentamu, will visit Castle Howard on May 15 as he draws to the end of his six month pilgrimage.

After meeting the Howard family, the Archbishop will meet with visitors in the grounds from 2pm onwards, and is to lead an outdoor Pentecost service at 3pm on the south lawn.

Revd Anne Freestone, Castle Howard’s Chaplain said: “It is wonderful to welcome the Archbishop of York to Castle Howard as he nears the end of his diocesan pilgrimage, especially on the day of Pentecost.”

His pilgrimage across the Diocese of York is due to finish at York Minster on May 22.
