Art cache at beauty spots

A NEW range of specially-commissioned artworks have been hidden across North Yorkshire’s beauty spots, accessible only by enthusiasts equipped with GPS technology.

The artworks, called Geo Art Cache, developed by Chrysalis Arts, have been placed across Upper Wharfedale and Ryedale, with art-lovers told to head out into the hills and use GPS technology on their phones to seek them out.

In Ryedale, the artworks created using traditional skills and materials will be taken away and replaced by visitors – who will be encouraged to make their own at the site – while in the Dales, each hidden cache contains technology which allows the art to appear on the finder’s phone.
