BBC criticised over plans to pull out of city
It will close the studio in March “to save significant recurring costs.”
The studio is a base for Radio Leeds and Asian Network staff.

Hide AdThe decision has been criticised by Bradford MPs Gerry Sutcliffe and George Galloway who are lobbying for a re-think.
Mr Sutcliffe said Bradford would become the largest city in the country without a BBC presence.
A BBC spokeswoman said it was reducing its property estate to save costs, adding: “As such, the Bradford studio will close at the end of March. The BBC remains committed to fully representing Bradford in our output. The BBC in Yorkshire is piloting new technology to cover the region including mobile broadcasting capability.”
