Blame it on the weatherman? Now’s your chance to do better

Yorkshire Post readers can bid to spend the day with TV weatherman Jon Mitchell in this year's Christmas Appeal

As part of The Yorkshire Post’s charity auction, the ITV Calendar weatherman, meteorologist Jon Mitchell, is offering the opportunity for two people to have a short weather “masterclass” at the ITV offices.

You will look at the Met Office weather charts and be shown how the professionals forecast the weather.

The highest bidder will then be shown the weather map in the studio and be offered the opportunity to have a go at a weather report.

The forecast will be recorded and put on DVD so you have a special memory of this unique opportunity.

This is just one of the host of the exciting lots you could snap up in aid of the charity Support Dogs in our Christmas auction.

Each weekend over the coming weeks 10 new exciting lots will be unveiled. Watch out in the paper and www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/appeal as more are revealed.

The auction is this year sponsored by leading pet food manufacturer Wagg Foods, based in North Yorkshire, who have also donated the chance to win a year’s supply of food and treats as part of the appeal.
