Blaze drama at rugby league grand final
HUNDREDS of Halifax rugby league fans fled onto the pitch after a fire broke out in their stand midway through yesterday's Co-operative Championship Grand Final.
The match, which Halifax won 23-22 with a dramatic late winner, was delayed for 45 minutes while firefighters battled the blaze.
No-one was hurt in the incident.
