Blaze shuts down power station
A blaze shut down a coal-fired power station at the weekend.
Fifteen crews were called to Kingsnorth power station in Kent on Saturday night after a fire began in one of its pump rooms.The power station is back running now, at reduced capacity.
E.ON said the oil fire was contained to one of the pump houses, separate to the main generating hall of the power station. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
