Bleeding heart looks for love

THIS Luzon bleeding heart pigeon could have love on his mind, having been helping other birds at Edinburgh Zoo to build their nests.

The endangered species Gallicolumba luzonica is only found in the Philippines, inhabiting the islands of Luzon and Polillo. In the wild they live on the ground in tropical, dense rainforests, retreating to trees only to nest. As the name suggests, the bleeding heart pigeon has a red patch of feathers over their breast.
