Body find in canoeist hunt
A body believed to be that of a canoeist who drowned in the Lake District has been recovered, police said yesterday.
The male, believed to be in his late teens, was not seen to resurface after entering the water around 200 metres from the shore of Ullswater on Saturday afternoon.
A major search was launched involving police divers, a coastguard
team, Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team and some concerned members of the public who were in the area at the time.
