Bogus callers steal woman's jewellery
Police in Harrogate have warned householders to be on their guard after an elderly woman had jewellery stolen by two men posing as water board officials.
The pair called at the house in the Jennyfields area last week and conned their way inside.
One man kept the woman talking downstairs, while the other went upstairs and stole jewellery worth more than 2,000.
