Bond actor in knee surgery operation

The 007 star had what is being described by Eon Productions as a “minor procedure” during the Easter filming break.

Heartthrob Craig, 47, was filming in Mexico before he returned to New York last weekend where the surgery is believed to have been carried out.

A spokeswoman for Eon Productions said: “During a scheduled break, Daniel Craig had arthroscopic surgery to repair his knee injury. He will rejoin production on April 22nd at Pinewood.”

She said reports that Craig had been forced to miss several days of filming were false.

Spectre will be released on November 6 this year.
