Luke Walker, 22, of Brierley Hill, West Midlands, appeared before a court in the island's Heraklion, yesterday where he was formally charged with murder and remanded in custody.

"He is in prison now but we are going to file an appeal for bail next week. It is too early to say when the trial will be."
It was originally thought Walker would face a lesser charge of causing fatal bodily injury.
Ms Hyndman's mother has described her daughter as "full of life" and a "perfect daughter".
