Burglar bags trouble after haul stirs up hotel boss

A BURGLAR landed himself
in hot water after raiding a
hotel and stealing a haul consisting of three tea bags and a hairdryer.

Sean Woods, 25, said to have “succumbed to temptation”, was spotted after the manager was informed about two men dressed in sports clothes acting suspiciously in the hotel on February 25.

The manager of the Blackpool Football Club hotel viewed the CCTV and saw Woods and another man trying bedroom doors around 9:30pm.

He then chased the duo as they ran off and alerted police after spotting them go into a nearby takeaway.

Woods, from Blackpool, pleaded guilty to burglary and was bailed to April 9 by Blackpool magistrates when he will be sentenced at Wirral Magistrates’ Court. Steven Townley, defending, said Woods had gone into the hotel and succumbed to temptation.
