After three years of restoration the famous woodland garden in Ray Wood at Castle Howard, near York, is looking well with a dazzling show of rhododendrons in full bloom. With undergrowth cleared and the canopy opened, the collection is once again thriving and bursting with colour. Jonathan Watkinson, Ray Wood volunteer manager is pictured checking and pruning the various different colourful plants.
