Business hopefuls compete for cash

THE inventor of a comb for removing nits, a distributor of products to help sufferers of sleep apnoea and a woman who wants to develop a Muslim marriage service are among the candidates bidding for a slice of business development cash in Hull.

Five women and a man from the city have been shortlisted from 32 hopefuls to take part in the Enterprise Den, which has been organised by the Hull Enterprise Partnership and is based on the TV series Dragon's Den.

At stake is a prize of up to 3,000, for which the finalists will compete when they appear before a four-strong panel of local businessmen at Hull Community Church, Newland Avenue, tomorrow. Each candidate will have 20 minutes to make their pitch.
