Chance to boost tourism in area

Local businesses keen to benefit from the tourism industry are invited to an event in Holmfirth next month.

Visit Peak District & Derbyshire, is coming to The Old Bridge Hotel on August 8 for a tourism networking event, looking at how it can work with local businesses.

Developed in partnership with Kirklees Council, tourism businesses in the Holme and Colne Valleys have the opportunity to meet industry leaders and learn about new developments in the Peak District tourism sector.

Coun Donna Bellamy said: “The visitor economy is very important to businesses in the Holme and Colne Valleys who welcome millions of visitors each year. This is a great opportunity to find out how the powerful Peak District destination brand could support business growth here.”
