Checks find illegal vehicles
The joint operation involving police, Hull Council, Vehicle and Operator Services Agency, Taxi Licensing and HM Revenue and Customs, pulled over 83 vehicles for checks on Bankside last month.
Six were seized for being driven without a licence or insurance leading to four summonses.

Hide AdHull Council stopped two trucks for breaches of waste legislation and two taxis and nine light goods vehicles were taken off the road because of serious defects.
Sgt Chris Hood said he was disappointed at the level “of offending and criminality”.
He said that a staggering 76 per cent of all the vehicles checked were found to be illegal.
