Children really know their onions

Ms Walkden, from the BBC's The One Show, announced the winner of the children's veg box competition which went to Warmsworth Primary School, in Doncaster. The school was chosen from a shortlist of 11 finalists whose boxes have been on display at the show this week.

Youngsters from more than 30 schools in Yorkshire entered the competition, which aims to encourage young people to be more aware of the value of healthy eating.

Ms Walkden said: "The thing that really impressed me was that when you talk to the children they know what they're talking about, they can identify all the vegetables and they know how they produced them."
