Christian group puts faith in science

SENIOR clerics are set to launch a specialist group for scientists and people who work in scientific companies who are struggling to reconcile their work with their Christian faith.

The new group, which will hold its first meeting next month in

Rotherham, has been organised in the wake of coverage of opinions which argue against traditional religion.

It will be led by the Rev David Jeans, who is urging members of congregations across the Diocese of Sheffield to explore ideas.

A spokesman for the diocese said: "The group will support Christians working in science who wish to discuss with others how their science and their faith inform each other."

The first meeting will take place at Diocesan Church House in Effingham Street, Rotherham, on Saturday, April 24 at 10am. For more details, email [email protected]
