City welcome for new vice chancellor
A Yorkshire university officially welcomes its new vice chancellor at an inauguration ceremony at York Minster next week.
Prof David Fleming took over at York St John University in June, this year, replacing Prof Dianne Wilcocks.
The ceremony will begin on Tuesday, November 2, with a procession through Stonegate in the city centre which will include staff, students and Archbishop of York Dr John Sentamu.
Prof Fleming said: “York St John University has been proudly educating students for 169 years within the heart of a remarkable city.”
