Classic cars to make pit stop at hall

A classic car run will be stopping off at Sewerby Hall and Gardens this year.

The hall will be the lunch stop on Sunday May 8 for what is one of the MG Car Club Yorkshire’s major annual events.

The Woldsway Classic Car Run, which in recent years has attracted over 100 cars, will meet at the Woodland Cafe car park at the Humber Bridge at 9.30am, where the cars will be on view.

The car run, now in its 16th year, will cover about 100 miles, and this year finishes at Pocklington which should be more convenient to visitors from other parts of Yorkshire and further afield.

The KP Club will host the end-of-run social gathering including a presentation to Yorkshire Cancer Relief, followed by an early evening barbecue.

Owners of MGs of any age, classic or sports, are being invited to take part. An application form can be downloaded at www.mgcc yorkshire.co.uk or by calling the organisers on 01430 810383.

The entry fee of £18 per car includes a tulip style route book, rally plaque, entry to Sewerby Hall and grounds and tea or coffee for two at the KP Club.

The optional barbecue is £8 per person.
