Coach firm introduces sleeper routes

A budget sleeper coach service was due to go into service last night – with London to Scotland fares starting at just £1.

Fitted with 24 berths and 24 seats, specially converted coaches are being operated between London and Glasgow by Stagecoach’s “megabus” division.

Passengers have individual berths, equipped with reading lights and curtains for privacy, as well as duvets, pillows and blankets, the firm said.

They are also allocated standard seats.
