College has its hands full with new baby

Askham Bryan College, near York, shows off a new arrival – Adia the Meerkat, who was born at the college in August, to proud parents Hattie and Bertie.

Aida, being held by instructor technician Kelly Crow, is now weaned off mother and finding her feet. She is just one of the diverse range of mammals, reptiles and birds which are key for students studying for a wide variety of animal management qualifications. Meerkats, marmosets, parrots and numerous snakes and lizards are among the college’s menagerie.
