Concentration required for York to hurt Rovers

FEATHERSTONE Rovers must continue their pursuit of Championship top spot without former Huddersfield Giants scrum-half Tom Hemmingway.

The prolific player is out for six weeks with a fractured jaw leaving Rovers light on numbers ahead of tomorrow’s visit from York City Knights.

York pushed leaders Leigh Centurions close last week before losing out 48-38 and coach Dave Woods admitted: “We did some good work, but then we’d come up with a missed tackle and they’d score.

“We have to concentrate more.”

Hunslet Hawks player-coach Paul March is set to return to action against Batley Bulldogs.

Winger Richie Barnett could also feature after recovering from a knee injury, while March is hopeful that dual-registration signing Ben Gledhill will make his Hunslet debut.

In Championship One, Doncaster entertain Oldham while Keighley host Rochdale.
