Consultation over town's future

Residents and businesses across the area are being urged to attend community events over the next few months to help shape the action plan.

It is being developed by the Tadcaster and Villages Community Engagement Forum which includes members of Selby District Council, North Yorkshire Police, and local town and parish councils.

Forum member Phil Back, who is spearheading the consultation, said: "This is a way for us to gauge what's important to residents, and to record their hopes for the future of this area.

"What people say will influence what the forum does and could help to improve things for the entire area.

"We will be dealing with the issues that really matter."

The consultation is being held at community events across the

area, including Christmas fairs, school evenings and local markets.
