Appeal for witnesses over cemetery assault

It is alleged that some kind of verbal dispute took place between a man and a woman who knew each other and the woman was assaulted.

Police believe that the woman then fell to the ground leaving her with muddy clothing.

Humberside Police are investigating the incident at the Trinity Road cemetery in Cleethorpes on January 2 at around 3.15pm.

In particular, officers are keen to speak to two women who may have been in the area at the same time and witnessed the incident to confirm the circumstances.
