Asda driver robbed in Scarborough

AN ASDA driver was attacked and robbed while delivering a customer's shopping in Scarborough.

Police said the driver was targeted after parking his van on Westbourne Grove just after 5pm on Monday. (May 16)

A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “He was at the rear of his van when he was attacked by two men and was knocked to the ground.

“He suffered swelling to his lip as a result of the incident. The men then jumped into his van and stole his wallet before leaving the scene.”

Both men are described as 6ft tall plus white men of medium build aged in their late 20s.

One was wearing a grey hooded top, dark coloured jeans and dark coloured trainers.

The other was wearing a dark coloured hoodie, grey jogging bottoms and dark coloured shoes.
