Bradford pensioner, 83, attacked and robbed in her own garden

A BRADFORD pensioner was attacked and robbed by two masked men in her garden on Saturday afternoon.

The 85-year-old victim was targeted at her home on Great Horton Road between 2.30pm and 3pm, West Yorkshire Police said.

While she was in her garden the woman was approached by two men wearing balaclavas who attempted to remove her gold bangles.

They eventually pulled two gold chains from around her neck and headed towards an alleyway, which leads from Great Horton Road towards Woodhead Road.

The woman was left shaken and bruised following the incident, officers said.

Police are now appealing for information or anyone who may have seen the men to contact them.

The men are described as having slim builds, around 5ft 7in to 5ft 9in, and both wearing dark clothing.
