CCTV image released of thug who smashed up South Yorkshire takeaway and owner's car

Police are hunting a man who attacked a South Yorkshire takeaway with a hammer and vandalised the owner's car.

South Yorkshire Police were called to reports of a man smashing a window at the front of Alverley Express BBQ House, in Springwell Lane, in the Balby area of Doncaster, on Thursday January 28 at around 11.45pm.

He reportedly then attacked the takeaway owner’s car, which was parked nearby, smashing the windows and slashing the tyres.

The culprit was wearing a two-tone blue hooded jacket and had his face covered. It is thought that he then ran away towards Galsworthy Close and possibly got into a vehicle.

Anyone with information that could assist police in tracking down the man is urged to call police on 101, quoting incident number 1233 of January 28, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
