Driver attacked by group of men after cars crash into each other

A driver was attacked by a group of men after their two cars crashed.

The crash involved an Audi A3 travelling towards Great Horton Road and a 4x4 vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.

Police believe an incident occurred after the crash and the man in the Audi was attacked.

The man, who is in his twenties, was taken to hospital for treatment for serious head injuries.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Farrell, of Bradford District Police, said:

“We believe the occupants of the 4x4 attacked the male in the Audi before driving away from the scene.

“This is being treated as a targeted attack and we do not believe there is a wider risk to the public at this time.”

A scene remains in place today while enquiries continue.

A 4x4 vehicle has been recovered for further tests.
