Five arrested after body of woman found in house
Four men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman in South Yorkshire.
South Yorkshire Police said officers were called to a property at The Oval in Firth Park, Sheffield, at about 2.15pm yesterday, where the body of a woman was discovered. A cordon was put in place and uniformed officers stood guard while inquiries and a forensic examination of the scene continued throughout the day.
A police spokeswoman said further details of the inquiry would be released following a post-mortem examination, which was due to take place later yesterday evening.
Those arrested were expected to remain in custody overnight.
