Knife-wielding gang threatened man in North Yorkshire street before following him home to raid property

A knife-wielding gang threatened a man in a North Yorkshire street and stole his belongings, before forcing him back to his own home where they stole more items.

The man was walking along Bondgate in Ripon at around 5.30pm on Monday when he was targeted by four men who threatened him with a knife.

The men stole his belongings before following their victim back to his home, where they forced him to let them in.

They stole a number of items before fleeing the scene down Aismunderby Road.

North Yorkshire Police confirmed officers arrested a 20-year-old man from Ripon and a 19-year-old man from Harrogate in connection with the incident.

The men remain in police custody.
