Large police presence near Doncaster Sheffield Airport '˜a police operation'
A large police presence been spotted near Doncaster Sheffield Airport was part of a police operation, the force has confirmed.
Several riot vans and other police cars were spotted near the airport on Thursday night.
South Yorkshire Police’s Force Incident Manager said that the large presence is part of a police operation but it is not connected to the airport.
The manager refused to confirm what the operation is, but stressed it is not connected to the airport.
