The 29-year-old was detained in April on a European Arrest Warrant and his extradition to the Netherlands was requested.

He is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

Weekes last appeared at the court on April 12 as part of the extradition process and was remanded in custody.

According to reports, he was arrested at Armley Jail.

The killing sparked a public outcry and major media interest in the Netherlands after the youngster was shot as he sat alone in his home.

He was taken to hospital but died from his injuries.

At least 10 bullet holes were discovered in the caravan.
