Man arrested after crash which closed A660 Ilkley Road in Otley

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a crash on a road between Otley and Ilkley.

West Yorkshire Police were called to the A660 IIkley Road, Otley, near to the Menston and Burley Wastewater Treatment Plant, just before 9am.

A man driving a black BMW M140 had crashed into a dry stone wall and a lamppost.

The 37-year-old was taken to hospital but found to have no serious injuries.

He has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

The road was closed for around two hours but reopened at 11.15am after the scene was cleared.
