Man is beaten up outside Halifax supermarket

A MAN has been attacked and seriously injured near to a supermarket in Halifax, police said.

The 39-year-old victim was targeted at 10.30pm on Saturday near to the entrance of a supermarket car park in Haley Hill, Boothtown.

The man had his arm broken and suffered facial injuries in the incident, West Yorkshire Police said.

Following the incident he was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Officers are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the attack in Boothtown on Saturday.

They are also attempting to trace two men in connection with the incident.

The first is described as white, early twenties, 5ft 7in tall, with a shaven head and wearing a black or brown shirt.

The second was also white and in his early twenties, 5ft 8in tall, with slim facial features and was wearing a black hooded top.
