Motorcyclist dies after crash near Beverley in East Yorkshire

A man has died following a crash between a motorcycle and a car in the Routh area of East Yorkshire.

The man was riding a Yamaha motorcycle southbound on the A1035 when there was a collision with a black Renault Clio.

The crash, which happened at around 2.30pm today (Friday), took place around a mile from the junction with Eske Lane and close to a lay-by.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries but died a short time later.

His family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.

Anyone who saw the collision is asked to call police on 101, quoting log number 314 of 24 July 2020.
