Several windows were smashed on the vehicle and the driver was able to drive away without getting injury.

Despite an appeal for information being issued at the time and extensive enquiries in the community to trace witnesses, nobody has come forward with information and no arrests have been made.

PC Mitchel Baldwin said: “This incident could have resulted in serious injury or much worse and we have been trawling the local area for any information that could help us identify the suspects.

“We know that there were a lot of people on the street at the time and someone must have seen something.
