Paedophile jailed after shocked neighbours saw attack on girl through bedroom window

A PAEDOPHILE was caught after shocked witnesses spotted him attacking a young girl through a bedroom window while his girlfriend watched.

Kazimierz Kowejsza, 54, has been jailed for 13 years and six months and his partner, who was hiding under the bed when police burst in, is now also behind bars.

Witnesses called 999 as the incident unfolded last September. When West Yorkshire officers entered the bedroom they found Kowejsza naked with a little girl.

Kowejsza’s partner Eva Tyminska, 53, was hiding under the bed fully clothed having aided and abetted his abuse. She was jailed for eight years.

A man and a woman, who cannot be named for legal reason, were found drunk in the house when it was raided. They were both jailed for child neglect.

Kowejsza, of Wakefield, pleaded guilty to rape and attempted rape of the young girl, while his partner, also of Wakefield, was found guilty of two charges of aiding or abetting the rape.

Sentencing the pair, Judge Mark Bury, said: “Kowejsza, you abused this girl in the vilest way.

“You, Tyminska, could have stopped this entire incident. By your presence, you encouraged Kowejsza to behave in this most appalling manner.

“You raped her in front of six witnesses who looked on in shock and disbelief. This experience will live on with them forever.”

Hull Crown Court heard social services had twice been alerted to the girl’s neglect. She was now thriving in foster care.

Judge Bury told Kowejsza and Tyminska they could be considered by the Home Offce for deportation to Poland before the end of their sentences. They will also have to sign the sex offenders register for life.

Det Chief Insp Adrian Taylor, said: “This was a truly horrendous crime which quite rightly caused shock in the local community, especially amongst those who witnessed it.”
