Police investigate racial abuse after car crash in Rotherham

Police in Rotherham are investigating a car crash which then led to a man being verbally abused and threatened.

At around 3.30pm on Saturday June 24 a silver Toyota Prius and a black Audi A3 were involved in a collision at the junction of St Johns Road and Fitzwilliam Road.

A black Vauxhall Insignia, not connected to the collision, then arrived at the scene and two men, unknown to anyone involved, got out of the car and made racially abusive comments towards the 34-year-old driver of the Toyota Prius and two other men with him.

The men from the Vauxhall threatened the three men with a knife and a screwdriver, before driving off towards Doncaster Road. No one was injured during the incident.
