Raid by youths wielding knives

A GROUP of eight youths, two brandishing kitchen knives, stole a games console and tobacco after forcing their way into a house in Sheffield.

They knocked at the back door of a shared property at Whitehouse Lane, Walkley at 10.50pm on Thursday.

It was opened by an occupant, but as he tried to close the door, the gang forced their way inside.

The culprits threatened two people in the house, before searching the property and making off with an X-box and tobacco. No-one was hurt. Anyone who can help should contact South Yorkshire Police on 101.
