Robber targeted woman, 60, at Barnsley bus stop

The woman and her husband were stood at the bus stop outside the Travellers Inn on Sheffield Road, Birdwell, just after midnight on Sunday 5 March when a small, dark coloured car pulled up alongside them.

A man, who was sat in the back of the car, got out and snatched the woman’s handbag from her, causing her to stumble and fall.

The man got back in the car and it was driven away.

The man is described as white, about 5ft 9in tall, in his early 20s, of average build, with short dark brown hair and a broad nose.

He is described as wearing grey oversized jogging trousers with tight elasticated ankles and a short, dark padded bomber style jacket and dark trainers.
