The Star Inn at Harome: Police confirm investigation into arson at Yorkshire Michelin-starred restaurant remains open a year on

North Yorkshire Police have confirmed that an arson investigation into a fire which devastated The Star Inn at Harome a year ago remains open.

The 14th-century Michelin-starred pub’s thatched roof was severely damaged in the fire started in the roofspace on the night of November 24 last year and it has only just reopened following major restoration work.

At the time, police interviewed a man who had been in the area during the fire on a voluntary basis and he was released. Nobody has ever been arrested or charged.
