Three offenders get total of 10 years in Asbos

Parts of North East Lincolnshire can breathe more easily after three offenders were handed 10 years worth of Asbos by magistrates.

The three, Lee Sven Gresham, David James Murray and a third man, who cannot be named because an ongoing court case, had caused repeated aggravation.

Gresham, a prolific thief from Rufford Road, Cleethorpes, is said to specialise in stealing from cars. His five-year Asbo places him under curfew from 9pm to 6am for six months and bans him from touching any car in North East Lincolnshire without the owner’s permission.

Police Constable Helen Dunks said: “We shall be closely monitoring his activity and if he is caught whether committing further offences, or breaching his Asbo, we shall put him back before the courts and they will, I think, have little alternative than to send him to prison.

“He needs to mend his ways now.”

Murray, 32, of Langton Drive, Grimsby, described as “violent and disruptive”, has been banned from a large area of Grimsby town centre for three years.
