Two held after Scarborough teen injured in ‘stabbing’

Two Scarborough men have been arrested after a teenager was seriously injured in a suspected stabbing.

The men, both 22, are being questioned by police after a 17-year-old was taken to Scarborough Hospital with a wound to his abdomen.

The incident occurred in William Street on Thursday evening, and a large section of the car park was taped off today, along with a smaller section adjacent to it in Dean Road.

One of the suspects was arrested in a property in Nelson Street at around 11.15pm.

Police do not believe the assault is connected with other incidents in Scarborough.
