A police officer and a staff member from West Yorkshire Police are both due to appear in court after being charged with perverting the course of justice.

PC Mark Hinchliffe, 42, who works in Leeds, and Lisa Hinchliffe, 38, have been charged with perverting the course of justice in relation to speeding offences. The alleged offences were committed whilst off-duty.

PC Hinchcliffe has been suspended from duty, while Lisa Hinchcliffe has since resigned from the force. They are due to appear at Bradford Magistrates Court on November 2.
