Witness appeal after man suffered fractured skull in Huddersfield bar attack

A MAN remains in hospital ten days after he suffered a fractured skull when he was attacked at a Huddersfield bar.

The 39-year-old man also suffered a bleed on the brain during the attack, which happened in a corridor outside toilets at Mavericks bar on King Street, Huddersfield, just before 2.30am on Sunday January 17.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack and have issued CCTV images of three people in the bar at the time who may have information.

Det Cons Cath Lowdon, of Kirklees CID, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who was in Mavericks bar that evening and witnessed this incident which left a man with serious injuries.

“We would like to speak to the people in the photos as we believe they may have witnessed the incident and may be able to help with our enquiries.”
